Life is filled with amazing, heartwarming moments—but it also comes with its fair share of uphill battles. As a mother, a wife, and a business owner, sometimes it feels like each of these roles adds just a little more weight, especially on the days that don’t start off quite as planned.
Today was one of those days. I woke up to both twins needing diaper changes, my husband already off to work, and the yard still a mess from the day before—a task he promised he’d handle. Meanwhile, my to-do list for work sat there, waiting patiently while life decided to throw one more curveball.
As a mother, you find yourself filling so many roles: the nurturer, the caretaker, and, most often, the go-to person for every little thing. You’re handling the kids, running the household, and trying to keep your work-life afloat. When you add in the responsibilities of managing a business, it sometimes feels like you’re carrying the weight of three people all on your own.
And as a wife, it can feel frustrating when you’re holding down the fort without much help. My husband is a great support in his own way, and I know he’s working hard, but there are moments when I wish for a bit more balance and help around the house. I think many wives can relate to that feeling.
Yet, while days like this can seem overwhelming, they also remind me why I started this journey. I didn’t dive into Digital Creations by Brooke because life was easy—I did it because I wanted to build something for myself and create a path where I could help other entrepreneurs get noticed online, no matter how chaotic life may get.
So here’s my message for all the moms out there trying to do it all: be kind to yourself. On the days when it feels impossible, remember that you’re already doing the impossible just by balancing so much. And it’s okay to admit that sometimes, the struggle is real.
As a small business owner, I’ve realized that moments of chaos don’t define us—what defines us is how we push through, create space for growth, and build something worthwhile. If you’re a mompreneur struggling with the same balancing act, know you’re not alone. Take it one step at a time, prioritize what you can, and remember that in both life and business, there’s no shame in asking for help.
Life may not be perfect, but the journey is worth it. And tomorrow is another chance to keep building, one step at a time.
